In short, my EA account was compromised soon after buying something on G2A. The person said they were in Algeria and used a game redemption code to get access. They changed my password, removed security questions, and tried to update my email—until it stopped working. My PayPal was tied to the same email address, which matches what happened. When I paid for the game on G2A using my PayPal account, they gained access to that email along with the product code. It was frustrating because Ea gave them entry even though all my previous purchases were in the USA. The situation seems to defy logic, and now I’ve regained my account with a new email. I’m starting to doubt ordering from G2A. Still, keep in mind that price can sometimes indicate quality.

You checked the buyer before making the purchase, correct? I’m hoping they didn’t have many transactions and it was a brand-new account.

They kept asking me to reach out and when I tried to explain my situation via text, the support person dismissed it with little effort, quickly ending the chat and directing me to call later.

In my view G2A is 100% for your own use and I wouldn't say it's completely reliable, particularly since you're interacting with an international platform.

To inform them about the hack, you need to clarify your intent. Recovering your account doesn’t necessarily add value—just let them know what happened.

Did you check the message? I reached out to ea several times. I got five emails yesterday from their customer support team each time they updated my information using a conversation script. And seventeen times this morning.
