I'm not sure about the temperatures before, but from what I said, the laptop was getting very hot during intense games like GTA V before I tried undervolting. I believe the GPU might be overheating and I should replace the thermal paste.
It's interesting how things have shifted now compared to before. If the heat had been extreme, would it have caused more issues? Try swapping out the thermal paste to see if performance improves. Also, could you share your GPU temperatures during those laptop sessions on battery power? (You mentioned the fans increased when running on battery rather than when plugged in.)
I don’t have any thermal paste, but I cleaned my fan a bit and the temperature in games stays between 79-82, yet I’m still confused. My performance is stuttering and FPS drops even lower and inconsistently. I’ve tried optimizing Windows and other settings, but it’s still unstable. I didn’t experience stuttering before, so this is unexpected.
The clocks remain highly unstable as observed in the video. The situation persists.
I powered on the laptop this morning and it felt chilly. When I attempted to play a game, it worked for about 30 to 40 seconds without issues, but then frame drops occurred. My clocks remain inconsistent; whenever FPS drops, the display goes from 1400 to 1500 to around 800 or lower.
