Hello, I attempted to lower the voltage on my Intel XTU CPU to -0.100. After adjusting it, stability in games became unstable with frequent frame drops. Even after resetting Windows and reinstalling the OS, the issue persisted. I haven’t experienced any temperature concerns, but my GPU runs at 90-95°C while the CPU stays within normal limits. I’m unsure what’s causing this behavior and need guidance.

Update the Nvidia drivers and reinstall them. Your GPU is getting too hot, while the CPU or XTU isn’t the issue.

The reason for removing the driver isn’t clear, but it seems you’ve reinstalled Windows and cleaned up the NVIDIA drivers. Despite that, nothing is functioning properly. You mentioned your laptop overheated during gaming sessions, with temperatures consistently around 90-95°C. It’s unusual since there were no prior issues before switching to the updated driver. Consider checking for other software conflicts or hardware problems.

Consider removing the battery briefly to refresh your BIOS settings if needed. As for undervolting, it’s risky since the chip is already low-power and could cause further issues.

Consider omitting XTU. It seems to leave no impact on BIOS settings, though a reset could still be beneficial.

It seems like you're wondering if there might be an issue with the cooling system. Could you provide more details about the problem you're experiencing?

I believe this might be unusual since I haven’t experienced any issues prior to using xtu. I plan to clean the cooler and replace the thermal paste.

No, the issue persisted after resetting everything to its default settings.

Did you check the NVIDIA control panel after reinstalling Windows? It’s possible the GPU is overclocked, leading to frame drops.
