Following the installation of the latest Battlefield 5 driver update, I began experiencing a significant drop in frame rates. This issue extended to other games previously running smoothly. I am unable to revert to a previous driver version due to an error preventing the rollback process.

Navigate to the Windows search bar, enter “Device Manager,” select it, and proceed to “Display adapters.” Right-click on your graphics card, choose “Properties,” which will open a window. Within that window, click "Roll Back Driver." Finally, after completing the driver rollback, restart your computer. Hopefully, this resolved the issue; it worked for me.

Uninstall the drivers and reinstall them. Since we're flying blind here, mind sharing your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
How old is your PSU? Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? Is BF5 the only issue or do you have it running across other gaming titles?

It seems things have returned to their usual state. Perhaps I'll simply avoid updating the driver and stick with the previous version.

It seems to be functioning as expected now. Perhaps I should avoid updating the driver and stick with the older version. Did you choose the prior driver instead of the most recent one?

Sorry, that was my mistake – I used the latest version. I’ll switch back to the previous one. Do I require an update, or can I continue playing without changing it?
