Dual channel is likely, but the difference between 2133mhz and 2666mhz isn't huge. You might also achieve 2666mhz even with slightly different cables. At least 2400mhz is a solid option.

I'm considering the same type of RAM. I have an available slot and my current RAM is 8 GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz. Should I install the same speed or can I use a faster one?

It will simply slow down to 2133mhz when you combine RAM modules
