Hello, I own an MSI GV63 8SE with an HMA81GS6CJR8N 16GB RAM at 2666MHz. I discovered via CPU-Z that my system lacks dual-channel 8x8 support, so I’m considering an upgrade. I’m unsure if the RAM I found will work due to compatibility issues, especially since I’ll be purchasing it from another country and won’t be able to return it if it doesn’t fit. I’m looking for recommendations. I found a KINGSTON 16GB DDR4 2666MHz CL19 SODIMM RAM, but I’m not sure if it’s suitable. What alternatives should I consider?

The laptop contains multiple internal components, not just a single stick. It's unlikely to have only one 16GB drive due to cost considerations.

Verify with HWinfo, it should indicate Dual or not.

But it's also not physically present in the laptop, correct? So you're limited to just one 16GB stick. You can drop any old 2666MHz SO-dimm and it should function at 2133MHz, without a significant drop in performance.

Searching nearby, this model is CL15. The performance gap should be under 5%, especially not for desktop use at 3200MHz.
