Consider installing Avast antivirus together with AntiMalwarebytes.
You might want to stop Malwarebytes because it can block unwanted threats and protect your system effectively.
Everyone needs a simple antivirus to act as the final protection against zero-day threats and malicious software.
Having antivirus protection is wise, and using them isn’t something new for me. Staying safe online is important, and I recently caught a trojan despite being cautious. I’m generally careful—no torrenting, unusual sites, or risky behavior. This is my second known case of infection. The first happened when I was just starting out on my old computer nearly nine years ago. It’s tricky to detect without a scanner, but I’ve been diligent since then. I currently use Kaspersky, which my friends highly recommend, and one of them uses it too. Previously, I relied on Avast; they’re reliable, though they’ve seen less improvement lately. I opted for a subscription after noticing the annoying pop-ups. AVG was once my favorite, but performance has dropped. Now I’m committed to buying one because it’s worth the investment, especially since I’m planning to build my first PC soon and get three seats. It costs a yearly fee, which I paid upfront for three years, so I won’t worry about it until after graduation.
Valid point, can't argue that. Still doesn't change my mind though. Good idea, sure. I agree with you there. "I'm super safe on the internet" That's like saying "I'm super safe in the brothel" Trojans aren't just on "unsafe" websites. They are literally hidden everywhere. Yeah it sucks to get one, but "being safe on the internet" is not the same as "being smart" "Also, kinda hard to know if you have something if you don't have a program to scan for it." True, I work in the computer repair industry so I sometimes sneak some software home and scan every once in awhile. ssshhhh That's our little secret I hope I didn't come off like _______, I just don't understand how people get so many infections in their computer. But I do understand that it does happen, and when it does, come see me and I'll fix your baby up!
I'm also knowledgeable online. I avoid risky sites and don't download unknown files or click suspicious links. I've used the internet for a long time and understand what's safe and what isn't.
