many people think common sense is sufficient, and sometimes that's all you need. yet in reality, you often require something more. a built-in Windows version performs quite well. average and Avast are solid free choices, though they can be resource-heavy during scans. their free versions are available. Comodo is another strong option, and the paid edition includes 24/7 live support if desired. personally, I use ESET NOD32—it's not free, but it functions exceptionally well. I do miss the days when the free version was included.
Common sense holds up in most situations, but it doesn’t shield you from malicious attacks on genuine sites that might release viruses or trojans. In such cases, using an AV and anti-malware program is essential to provide additional security. Layers of protection are more effective than relying solely on confidence, especially since human error can lead to computer infections. This applies to both individuals and professionals. My idea is to consider free options like BD or Avast, with hardened settings if you frequently download large amounts from the web.
Thanks! My PC is running smoothly and performing well. I’m a meticulous person when it comes to scanning—I regularly remove half of my programs every couple of weeks to keep things organized.
