Some folks suggest simpler methods for installing Windows 10 instead of using a USB drive. Here’s a straightforward guide for beginners:

- Check if your PC meets the system requirements.
- Download the official Windows 10 installer from Microsoft.
- Use a clean installation media (USB or DVD).
- Follow the on-screen steps carefully.
- Back up important files before proceeding.
- Avoid risky shortcuts that could damage your data.

Let me know if you need more details!

You prefer a low cost or the official method? If I had a secure option, it would be on a negative balance.

I aim to learn the reasons behind these suggestions without engaging in any illegal activity. It seems there might be some confusion about what qualifies as piracy. Since you haven’t used Windows 10 or installed an operating system, it’s possible the advice is based on assumptions rather than your situation. Clarifying your context could help provide a more accurate explanation.

Chances are, they're talking about pirating a cracked version (bad idea), or buying from a grey market (also a bad idea). That leaves you with 4 reasonable/good choices: Buying legit from Microsoft Linux Waiting for a sale A user marketplace that sells retail licenses/keys that they got on sale or in bulk

It's not about piracy—it's individuals leveraging the Microsoft Developer Network to obtain licenses at significantly lower prices, then selling them for a profit. I acquired my Windows 8.1 Pro key from /r/MicrosoftSoftwareSwap almost two years ago, and it functions flawlessly. I've also tested it across several devices without any issues.

You downloaded Windows 10 from the official site for free, though you’ll need a license key later. A bootable USB was created automatically during installation. You purchased the key for $20 and confirmed it’s valid.

It’s not an authentic code. The price comes from being stolen elsewhere and then sold again. You can’t be sure it will function properly.

In short, be cautious and pay the full amount. Disregard advice from others who push for keys—they might be trying to trick you. Is that right?
