I don't believe the problem was caused, it functioned properly before. I'm using the newest Windows 10 version and it worked well. Only issues appeared after hardware changes. I adjusted the MB with CPU once earlier without any problems. That time I didn't have that new Wi-Fi adapter.

When using a Microsoft account, your key is stored there. If you're referring to a USB drive, they tend to be problematic. You might experience overheating issues when transferring large amounts of data through them.

You might face problems keeping old MB drivers active on a different motherboard. It's usually wise to reinstall the operating system when switching boards. If you stick with the same driver, it should work fine. There are situations where hardware changes succeed, but other times you encounter issues like this.

Consider installing the drivers separately instead of a full OS reinstall. You probably don’t want to risk everything again.

Setting up windows is now straightforward. It’s much easier these days. I recall using a startup disk to handle partitioning and launch the installation media.
