Feeling disheartened in DayZ
It's all centered around http://playrust.com — RUST for me. The team has put in a lot of effort, and progress is steady.
It's been roughly two years, and the game feels stuck in the same old cycle. It reminds me of the repetitive zombie content from the past decade. The worst part is that it's joining a crowded market where people get tired of similar experiences. As a result, when something new appears, it often gets dismissed because players are already worn out. This is why alpha releases and early access don't work well—they just add more noise to an oversaturated space.
They didn't mention a console version, and the project will be completed.
It will be completed. Once it's done, most casual gamers will have moved on. Probably even those who care deeply about PC gaming. I expect that already. It remains in Alpha stage. Surely bugs and delays will continue until development finishes. Problems from last December still exist today. Introducing new features won't fix issues like zombies that pass through walls, fall through the ground, or follow you until you're gone. I'll try it again in six months, but if things keep this way, I anticipate more of the same.
The issue is clear—I can't envision them tackling challenges like zombies or basic physics. The mod seems unstable, with code that doesn’t quite work together. Every problem keeps popping up. I’m aware this is the alpha version, and I really want the game to function properly, but it just isn’t coming together.
