I had high expectations for this title, but it feels like it hasn’t quite reached its full potential yet. Despite some progress, the time it’s been out hasn’t left a strong impression anymore. What are your thoughts? Are there any other games you’re looking forward to, and I really hope H1Z1 lives up to them.

Honestly, I really regretted it—there were plenty of cheaper options available for that price.

I managed the full DayZ experience from start to finish, handling everything from the Mods to the SA version. I invested thousands of hours into the Mod and by the time the SA early access arrived, I was exhausted from the effort. Eventually, I spent only around 100 hours on it before giving it up and never returning.

The game is progressing slowly, honestly. The engine feels much worse than my Dyson. I'm switching to 7 Days To Die right now, just got it last week so I'm still getting the hang of it.

Hold off until DX11 and the updated engine are ready, then everything will work fine.

DayZ operates on an updated iteration of the RV3 engine originally from Arma II. They are transitioning to a new system named Enfusion, which allows them to support DX11 technology after extensive modifications to the RV3 code.

And CPU core usage needs further work once we switch to DX11.

I'm done waiting; they got their opportunity and missed it. Let the superior games and zombie-themed titles rise to prominence now.

I still find it quite enjoyable. The updates move slowly and sometimes cause issues, but I still like the game. Playing with a friend is the best option.
