There needs to be something said about PC gaming... you can build your own games almost. Here’s what I’ve tried with a 7770 at 1080p—it’s not quite there yet. I’m aiming for around 30 FPS to improve visuals, what do you think so far?

Some of the mods for Fallout are extremely unusual. In New Vegas, Nevada, Project Brazil and AWN transform the game into a vastly different experience.

The game plays quite nicely at 30FPS... i use a controller anyway so it's a none issue. Lowered the view distance, this is mostly due to higher cell counts being too harsh on performance, so to hide some of the unloaded distant stuff, i have trie to fog it out a bit. MSAA is enabled and textures have lost a lot of detail so i may have to use no AA.. well at least no MSAA.

Several massive explosions are included. This mod adds a fun visual effect for radiation, lets you develop extra limbs—though I've only tried it once and it hasn't worked yet. I also have another mod that changes the height of all NPCs, giving the game a bit more authenticity.

Can I run Fallout 3 on Windows 8.1? I'm wondering about this because of something I saw.

I work well with Windows 7 64-bit, I'm confident it will function on Windows 8.1 too.
