Face challenges with 3600MHz RAM and an i7-6700K processor.
Alright here’s the situation. I’m currently working on upgrading my PC and have everything except the new CPU and motherboard. I believe the RAM is too slow right now, but once the new CPU arrives it will make more sense. In the meantime, I’m trying to see if I can squeeze a bit more performance from what I have. Presently, my RAM is limited to 2133MHZ, and I attempted XMP settings but the system restarts when enabled and only works after manually resetting it in BIOS. As many of you can probably understand, I’m not very familiar with this stuff, but I’d like to learn if possible and hopefully boost my system’s efficiency. I also know full speed might not be achievable, but any gain would be welcome. My current setup includes: Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z270-P CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600Mhz 32GB (2x16GB). Also, this is my first post on the forum and English is my second language, so I apologize for any errors.
