Windows 7 only works with USB3 when drivers are present. It seems to use the standard Intel or AMD chipset. Installation DVDs include a compact, lightweight version known as WinPE (Windows Preinstallation Environment).

Intel USB 3 requires drivers to be installed. This issue occurred after setting up a new system with an Asus board. While everything functioned normally during the Windows 7 installation, problems arose when reaching the personalization screen—keyboard and mouse stopped working. I followed the manual instructions to connect via USB 3 ports managed by the Asmedia chipset, and it resolved.
