I've observed a significant drop in my FPS compared to others with similar PC configurations. My system specs are: CPU i7 7700k @ 4.2GHz, GPU Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM at 2400MHz, and MOTHERBOARD GA-H110m-a. I've tried disabling game DVR, updated all drivers (GPU, BIOS), turned off NVIDIA highlights, and more. Switching to a friend's GTX 1060 6GB for comparison helped confirm the issue isn't GPU-related. In CS:GO I'm averaging around 150 FPS on minimum settings, while similar setups hit nearly 300 FPS max, and in Fortnite I rarely exceed 200 FPS. Could you offer any insights?

Single-channel RAM, poor VRM design causing unstable CPU speeds, slow RAM performance—definitely a risky setup.

Are you certain it's the issue, or would you like to avoid buying more RAM? What is the suggested RAM speed for your system?

Sell your existing RAM to upgrade to 2x8GB (or faster) and opt for a more affordable motherboard like B250 or H270. Your setup might seem high-end, but it includes some cost-saving components.

Alright, understood. Instead of dealing with the trouble of selling your RAM, you could simply purchase an additional memory module for dual-channel use. Why bother with 200 frames per second in a game when you can get more performance with the right setup?

Yes, the motherboard plays a significant role in performance. It determines compatibility with components and affects overall system speed and stability.

oh yes indeed. How would there be 4 tiers if it didn't?

I watch and it drops to almost 60 frames per second, while my friend with identical settings streams smoothly at around 120 fps.

Is your display running at more than 60Hz? You should also see over 4.2GHz with the 7700K. The boost frequency stands at 4.5. It's unlocked, so you can push it even higher with a good cooler.
