Observing these recurring lag spikes matches the image you shared. The system briefly freezes for under a second every roughly 40 seconds, though the pattern shifts. I've checked for malware using Windows Defender, reinstalled Windows (without a full wipe), cleaned up DDU by wiping and reinstalling drivers, and removed the RGB software. None of these steps resolved the issue.

Thanks for the details! You're using a powerful setup with a 7800x3d GPU, a high-speed M.2 SSD, and Windows 10 Pro. The Teamgroup RGB 6000 Cl30 with XMP support is great for performance. Just confirm if you need any additional components or optimizations for your current games.

Have you attempted to operate your memory at regular speeds (turn off XMP)? DDR5 memory occasionally continues to face problems.

Examine CPU, GPU, storage, and network usage (certain engines may cause FPS drops when network is unstable). Check Task Manager for spikes. Consider a clean boot—disable MS services beforehand—but be careful not to hide them. If this works, restart one service at a time until you identify the issue.

It was still worth a try. I guess that your CPU/GPU combo can't handle the load... Did you try running some offline games ? You can even unplug Ethernet to make sure nothing is trying to access the web while testing.

No offline tests were done. Not a typical ad concept—system scan didn’t reveal anything concerning. I’d like to be confident a 4090 700x3d can run the game.

I've been monitoring CPU and GPU usage on afterburner. The GPU load and power consumption decrease during freezes, while the CPU remains unchanged. Network activity is being tracked there, so I opened Task Manager to check. No indication of network congestion during lag periods. I plan to experiment with offline and online games this weekend to see if it affects performance. I ran a full system scan for over an hour but found nothing.
