You're into jRPGs and want to try Grandia 2 after Grandia 1. I enjoyed the first one more, especially its story style—classic adventure setting. All Final Fantasy titles (especially up to version 10) work on GBA or emulators; Golden Sun 1+2 are gems. Life Strange might be a good fit too.
Avoid this: spec ops works well. Black Mesa (a remake of Half-Life 1) and Call of Duty are consistently solid. Modern warfare trilogy isn’t a hit with veterans. A dark figure wielding power and magic is intriguing. Darkwood’s portrayal has positive aspects. Devil may cry stands out. Doki Doki Literature Club offers free, quality content. Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal provide engaging narratives. Mass Effect, Titanfall 2, and Dying Light are worth checking. Elder Scrolls series, Fallout titles, and Endless Sky are available. I’m currently playing Endless Sky, though it lacks cinematic flair. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is decent but had poor performance on Steam. Fun experience. FEAR is a strong pick. GTA is for enthusiasts. Half-Life series homefront suits cod gamers. Mad Max: Fury Road delivers solid action. Metro series, Shadow of Mordor, and Mirror’s Edge are available. The Red Faction in Resident Evil 7 feels authentic. I enjoyed 5 and 6 but not the others. Resident Evil 7 also receives praise. Star Wars Republic Commando, System Shock 2, and War of the Worlds are worth exploring. The Witcher games, Wolfenstein, and The Old Blood are solid choices. I didn’t progress much in New Order or get 2.
I'll wait for it to be available on Steam for now—it really looks like a solid title. I've heard positive feedback about this series, so I'm excited to give it a shot. I'll fire up an emuletur and see if it's worth trying. I already have Dragon Age: Inquisition, and if I enjoy it, I'll pick up the rest of the series.
I really like JRPGs, so I'm planning to try those too. I once considered Life is Strange on Steam sales but didn't buy it. How would you rate this collection? Thanks a lot for all your recommendations—I've tried some and not everyone liked them, but many seem intriguing. I've added several games to my wishlist thanks to your list.
I had a tired Nier: Automata experience and didn't enjoy it, but I'm open to it if it's on sale. Plague Inc seems promising, so I'll consider it later. Thanks for the great suggestions—I've got two Arkham games now, especially enjoying their combat and AI aspects. I'll wait for a good deal before purchasing Jedi Fallen Order. Appreciate your help!
