Hello everyone, I hope you're all well. My English isn't perfect, but I'm trying to communicate. I'm searching for new games and would appreciate suggestions for story-focused titles. I mostly play JRPGs but enjoy any game with a compelling narrative. For reference, I liked Ace Combat 7, Tales of series, Shining Resonance, Valkyria Chronicles. Western releases that stood out: BioShock, Disoriented, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Spec Ops: The Line, Vampyr, Vampire: The Masquerade. Thanks in advance!

Have you explored Detroit: Become Human? From a storytelling perspective, the games that caught my interest include certain Assassin’s Creed titles (notably Black Flag) and the Metro series, where outcomes shift based on your decisions. Upcoming titles like Dying Light and Watchdogs also adapt story, gameplay, and characters according to your choices. The Dragon Age series, especially Inquisition, is a favorite of mine. From a gameplay standpoint, Titanfall and Titanfall II offered engaging mechanics—though I found Anthem’s experience mixed. I haven’t finished Control yet, so I can’t comment further.

Witcher 3, Grandia 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, Sleeping Dogs, Dust An Elysian Tail, Mafia 2, Mafia, Trails In The Sky, Transistor, Bastion, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Guild Wars 2 are among the titles I've explored. The stories behind them really captivated me.

A few of these match what I’m into, thanks. Isn’t Detroit Becomes Human just for PS4? I own a digital version of DragonAge for Inquisition but haven’t played it yet—I’ll give it a shot. I don’t really enjoy Assassin’s Creed much, no idea why. Mass Effect and Metro series sound interesting since the older titles are affordable now. Thanks.

By the way, I made a comparable discussion earlier. There were some useful ideas shared then.

Thanks! I’ve already tried Bioshock: Infinite, it’s a great game worth checking out.

I don’t know a PC title that fits, though I enjoyed Persona 3 back then—it has a solid story and a straightforward format, so your selection won’t change the outcome.

Witcher 3 offers an exceptional narrative experience. Its side quests often surpass the main storylines of other games.
