Explain this to me... SSD Cable so confusing (PSU and motherboard)
The cable connects to the motherboard, then to the PSU, followed by the SSD. The extra connections on the cable might be for additional ports or interfaces.
These power connectors allow you to connect up to four drives when housed in a case with an SSD/HDD cage. This simplifies the process of plugging everything in without needing several cables.
