Experiment with 4K and 1440p gaming.
Previously experienced this situation. Switching from my Mitsubishi Australia Diamond Digital DV19 to a 17-inch 1280x1024 monitor, then upgrading to the BenQ XL2730Z 1440p display, it’s almost crystal clear now.
It's similar to getting fresh glasses :3 I recall how my eyes felt when changing from my old fat Dell monitor (720) to my Asus 1080 at 70Hz...my pants got soaked that day. Once I moved into my new apartment, one of the first things I planned was switching to 1440p—right after rebuilding the computer and setting up the internet, haha!
I utilize my previous 1080p 60Hz TN monitor as a secondary display. I notice the distinction regularly.
I follow a 144hz routine every day. While traveling, I play on my 60hz machine, and everything... just seemed a bit off... switching from 1080p ultra to triple 1080p was a big change in some cases, while moving from 1080p to 1440p really helped with photo editing, but for gaming, the jump from 60hz to 144hz is the biggest difference I notice.
