Experiencing stuttering following the purchase of new PC components
Hey there. About a month ago I upgraded my PC components but still face stuttering in games. The upgrades I made include: GPU - RTX 4060, 8GB GPU memory, CPU - I5 14400F, RAM - two 16GB 3200MHz units, storage - 1TB M.2 Kingston SSD, and a MSI PRO H610M-E SSD M.2. I reinstalled Windows 11 from scratch. I downloaded the drivers directly from Nvidia and MSI via their official sites. Despite that, my games like Cyberpunk 2077, COD MW3, BeamNG, Forza Horizon 4, VRChat, Rainbow Six Siege and others keep stuttering. So far I haven’t upgraded my PSU (which is a 550W), but it seems it doesn’t help with the issue. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? It’s getting really annoying. Thanks! ~Arezra
What power supply are you using? I'm verifying it doesn't risk supplying unstable power to your components, which could lead to performance issues. Also, review the power consumption and activity of your parts—especially the GPU—and cross-check with online sources to ensure proper usage.
I assume I should check for updated BIOS releases before proceeding.
I've already tried it~ the outcomes remain unchanged, unfortunately.
It's not the ideal solution but it seems manageable. It shouldn't lead to major problems. Would it help to exchange the GPU with a friend to check if the issue persists? You might want to test it first.
I've tested it with my 1650 and the issues persist. My speech is stuttering consistently, no matter which device I use. I've updated everything on my computer, but the problem remains.
