Your laptop detects the EGPU is connected, yet during gaming it runs at about 50% usage and only achieves around 50 FPS in Apex Legends. The hardware you have is an RX 6700 XT paired with a Ryzen 7 8845HS processor.

The eGPU is linked via a USB connection, and I’m pairing it with an external monitor rather than the built-in laptop screen.

I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 Gen 9 laptop with a 14-inch AMD display, connected via a TB 3.2 port. The case is Mantiz Venus MZ-02, and I estimate the cable length to be about 30 centimeters.

Was die Situation früher besser? Wahrscheinlich hängt das von der Bandbreite des TB3 ab.

Viewing through the left side shows the lower bandwidth option, likely unsuitable for eGPU use.

USB 4.0 occasionally supports Thunderbolt, while USB 3.2 doesn't. USB 4.0 can deliver up to 40Gb/sec, whereas USB 3.2 Gen 2 maxes at 20Gb/sec. For an eGPU to function effectively, you need around 40Gb/sec; otherwise, you'll only get about 80% performance. Full 6700 XT speed won't be achievable, and frame time latency won't match it. Stick with the USB 4.0 port for better results.
