There remain vulnerabilities and some traffic continues through the network because the VM requires connectivity. There could be risks when a guest interferes with the host. I believe testing on a single system would be more effective, though I don’t understand why you’d want the host to stay offline. Why are you running Windows on the host even if you’re not using it?

I'd use it for all things outside of the internet.

I understand the task, but without a network VM, and you want the host still linked to the network. You can achieve this using Hyper-V.

The setup is for Windows, which means that wouldn't be a viable choice

Some might prefer Windows as the host because it offers unique features and capabilities that Linux doesn’t provide. Using a Windows VM on a Linux host could simplify setup, and Windows brings distinct tools and functionalities not available in Linux environments.

I’m thrilled to receive your initial message. Challenge accepted—run After Effects in a VM and observe its speed and responsiveness with a high-resolution project using 32GB of RAM.
