There remain vulnerabilities and some traffic continues through the network because the VM requires connectivity. There could be risks when a guest interferes with the host. I believe testing on a single system would be more effective, though I don’t understand why you’d want the host to stay offline. Why are you running Windows on the host even if you’re not using it?
Some might prefer Windows as the host because it offers unique features and capabilities that Linux doesn’t provide. Using a Windows VM on a Linux host could simplify setup, and Windows brings distinct tools and functionalities not available in Linux environments.
