It's a complete setup (Dell XPS) but they're planning to take out the hard drive or SSD before sending it.
Looking for a $400 system? The cheapest Dell XPS is listed at $650, but that price excludes the graphics card.
Considering this is an XPS though, the internal parts will just be overall worse than going for a fully custom system. Honestly, I wouldn't pay over $400 for a Dell Prebuilt with a 1070 in it.
This setup isn't necessarily a good deal. It includes a 5-year-old Dell, a $100 GPU, a $50 motherboard, a $50 case and power supply (Dell is being generous), $50 RAM, $20 for the likely failing AIO, and a $200 CPU based on eBay listings. Considering current prices, it should be around $450, possibly lower with a bundle. Alternatively, you could build a system like this: CPU 5600 for $160, motherboard B450M-A II for $50, RAM 2400MHz DDR4 16GB x2 for $46, GPU GTX 1070 for $135, PSU 550W Seasonic for $30, case Rosewill PRISM S500 for $40. That totals roughly $460. Generally, the same specs as the Dell system can be achieved more efficiently with modern parts, especially if you shop further. If you search a bit deeper, you might find better options, like 1070s CPUs that are cheaper and available in larger quantities.
Back in the past, the Dell XPS had solid specs, especially with their boards. They often boosted performance and that’s why I’m unsure about this particular unit since we lack a model number. I own a 8700K Maximus X Hero with 4267mhz, 2x8GB, B-Die GTX 980 KPE, 850w CP series, plus a decade-old Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SilverStone TJ07. I also have an old USB NIC card that stops working when it heats up, so I replaced its case with a heat sink. Ah yes, internet again! Please confirm if this setup is worth over $460... lol. (I know it’s a good deal, but memory prices have plummeted—even the kit I used was cheaper than free. I’ve had it at 2.0V... but don’t tell the buyer that.) Custom built pc. But euh it being an xps makes it a lot worse. None of the xps systems use standard parts so good luck adding any decent gpu. That combined with the terrible cooling and youll have a pc.slower than base speed. Dont get it there is a reason its cheap and that is because it is low quality garbage
