Base clock, boost clock, binning, and TDP are optimized for 3800x. For those unsure about performance differences, choose 3700x unless the cost gap is under $25.

While single-threaded performance and overall throughput are similar, multithreaded results often favor Intel. Intel usually wins in gaming scenarios.
