ethernet help
I need to set up Ethernet in my room. Since I’m two floors away from the modem, a powerline adapter might be a good option. I’m considering connecting it to a gigabit switch and then linking it to my PC, consoles, and TV. I’m not very familiar with internet setup, but I hope this helps confirm if it would work. Thanks for your assistance!
I’m limited to discussing only the options provided. If you’d like suggestions, let me know which brands you’re considering.
Uncertain about whether "Devolo" exists in the US or Canada, but I rely on them frequently for our clients—they perform excellently. The connection remains highly reliable. However, power line performance is heavily influenced by your home's electrical wiring.
Possible speeds may not be ideal, but they should function. For quicker performance, consider Moca—only useful if you have a coaxial connection close to both your modem and your computer.
