You're encountering a problem where the tool "GetCACaps" fails to load, resulting in a black screen and a restart. The error message indicates the authority name doesn't exist.

I've explored several solutions so far. The system I'm running is [OS name], and I'm currently using hardware with [hardware details].

@will0hlep @jmwhite33 Thanks for that link. AMD 5600x 32 gigs of ram GPU Rx 7600 running windows 11 pro. Tried to update new version of bios but doesn't seem to want to flash. Tried to install chipset drivers and that doesn't want to install so might have to reinstall windows

He bought a fresh USB stick and has been attempting various methods to resolve the update issue. It seems the problem lies with that specific stick. I thought about switching to another one, but then checked the Event Viewer to confirm the error appeared again.

You probably chose the FAT32 format for your USB drive, rather than FAT16. Many contemporary memory cards are too big to work with FAT16 directly. You'll likely need to create partitions first.

You're encountering a 404 error because the specified authority doesn't exist. The message indicates that the domain you're trying to access isn't available.
