Hello, my first PC build was completed last week but didn’t work out as planned. The components included a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, an XFX Speedster MERC 310 Black Edition GPU, RX 7900 XTX, and the following parts: Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX ATX AM5, Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16) DDR5-5200 CL40, Crucial P5 Plus 500GB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD, and another Crucial P5 Plus 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD. After assembling everything, the system wouldn’t boot with more than one RAM stick. Adding a second stick worked once but then triggered a burning DRAM LED and a black screen. I returned the motherboard and upgraded to an ROG STRIX B650E-E, which fixed the issue and allowed normal operation. Later, after updating the BIOS, the system displayed Code 0d repeatedly while showing a black screen. Removing one RAM stick resolved the problem temporarily, but once reinstalled it kept returning to 0d. I flashed back through all previous BIOS versions, but none worked without resetting the CMOS. Changing RAM or replacing the battery didn’t help either. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

It's possible one of your RAM modules isn't functioning correctly.

You've already tested another RAM set, but the issue persists. It might be a defective memory stick or the kit itself. Check which slots you're using—preferably A2 and B2 for two DIMMs. Make sure you're using one of the newest BIOS versions from ASUS or Gigabyte that supports your CPU voltage without causing problems.

I used another set of Ram, but the same problem occurred. I’m testing both Sticks with A2/B2 and using A2 for one. I checked BIOS versions 1409 through 1602, and my current one is 1413—the newest that isn’t a beta and restricts SoC Voltage.

I used another set of components and still faced the same problem. Additionally, it doesn’t clarify the reason the device ceased working after the initial BIOS update.

Have you tested the CPU and GPU on another machine?

I don't remember the exact version included, but I checked all the options Asus lists on their site.

ok.. that's unfortunatly a problem of beeing bleeding edge.. you get system up with 1 ram stick.. let's try work from there. update to latest bios and reset bios. then turn off overclocking if it's on.. and retry with both installed. reduce speed, is next.. you might have to wait for a newer BIOS version to make it stabile with 2 sticks in it too. after setting ram settings in bios, it will probably use long time training ram again, this can take up to 30 minutes with rebooting during. it might even be that's what it's doing when lighting up the RAM LED.. it should only do this once until you change ram settings in bios again. i think jays2cent has a video where it took almost an hour ramtraining after installing his x3d chip..
