I’m hoping it’s not hardware but it seems to be pointing in the right direction. The whole 2.0 isn’t working anywhere except 3.0, which is fine. I’m assuming I’m correct about that. My understanding is that 1.1 is white, 2.0 should be black, 3.0 is blue, 3.1 teal, and 3.2 red. (Of course 3.0 isn’t exactly 3.0 anymore—it’s “3.2 gen 1.” My memory might be off on that point, and some companies aren’t sticking to the color system.)

It's great to hear from you. I wasn't aware I noted that down for thanks either. Thanks for your time last night too. Cheers, Bombastinator

Checked the 3.0 drive performance when using userbenchmark; results were as expected. Using a 2.0 device such as a mouse or keyboard caused a descriptor request error.

The 2.0 chip inside your motherboard might not be working properly. It’s unclear how everything fits together, but if it does, you could potentially replace it with a 2.0 expansion card.

It seems I’ve got a fresh board ready, just need to get an 11th or 12th gen Intel CPU. I even swapped the PSU today with a 1000W model since all these problems began when I was checking the PSU wires to confirm they were secure and properly connected.

Thank you for your assistance. I'll keep it open in case anyone has information about what's happening, though it seems like the board might be involved.

If someone knows how to fix this, please let me know. I also went through all the uninstallation guides for USBs and other similar issues. Everything has been tested thoroughly—no issues detected, nothing loose, and I can confirm there are no problems with the board.
