Error during IO1 setup causing system crash
I haven't tested it on other computers, but I'm ready to try if you confirm the setup works there.
The issue stems from mismatched hardware configurations between the devices. The original problem with the USB install media didn't fully resolve and was bypassed temporarily. When transferring the SSD from one computer to another, the installation succeeded in the second machine but failed again when swapped back, resulting in a blue screen during startup. This happens because Computer A and Computer B are distinct systems. Windows requires specific drivers to function properly; for instance, SATA or Northbridge chipset drivers. During initial setup with the USB media, only those drivers were installed. If Computer B had an AMD-based chipset and you swapped it into a Intel-based system, Windows couldn't detect the correct drivers at first, causing the installation to stall. The restore options helped identify and apply the necessary drivers. For a clean install on Computer A, please reach out for assistance. Have a great day!
We consistently used the same USB port. For this setup, we selected identical Windows installation media for both PCs. One worked fine on one machine but not the other—though it eventually functioned when using the same USB connection. Generally, it’s reliable. I completed the Windows setup until the first reboot, then switched from Computer B to A so the remaining installation could proceed correctly after copying files. That was the point where I installed everything on the second PC. It wasn’t my first time; I’ve installed a PC before, likely more than 200 times.
