Hello, I currently own an i5 6600k, an MSI RX480 GAMING X, and I’ve customized this setup myself three years ago. Now it’s time to upgrade. I really enjoy playing esports titles like League of Legends, Valorant, PUBG, Minecraft, The Witcher 3, and Assassin’s Creed. While Optimization is a concern, I’m keen on maximizing performance for those games. I’m considering whether to focus on the GPU first, or go with CPU+MOBO+RAM upgrade, or wait for the next generation. I’m open to suggestions but want to make smart choices without overspending. I’m not a fanboy, so I’m looking for the best value within my budget. If you have any ideas, I’d appreciate them! You can check out my PC here: https://valid.x86.fr/fb8xnu

pubg seems fun to play on your setup too. it definitely isn't running on my 6600k. we're both in the same situation, and I'm hoping next-gen will either come with a new CPU or offer a solid deal on a 9th gen or Zen 2. I'd suggest upgrading to a new CPU first, since the 6600k could limit performance no matter what GPU you choose. Unless you spot a good price on a GPU, then go ahead and upgrade that first.

If he has them in a laptop, I’d be surprised or puzzled, honestly 😄

The only issue I notice with your PC is the CPU and possibly the RAM.

Might want to switch to 32 gigabytes for smoother performance in the batter game on Assassin's Creed.

No problem at all, just not necessary for gaming.

What amount of funds do you plan to invest in the upgrade? Do you prefer having the GPU, CPU, or both fully active at 100% during gameplay?
