Enhancing my "gaming PC"
Enhancing my "gaming PC"
Hello. You're looking to refresh your old PC by adding more RAM and a new CPU for the HP Pavilion 500-054. I've found some options on Amazon that might fit your needs and budget. Here are the links you shared:
This setup is clearly a gaming PC, whether you're using it now or in the past. The components you have are typical for a gaming build, though some parts are quite outdated. Upgrading won't make much difference, and even the strongest processors won't significantly boost performance. Consider investing in a new motherboard, more RAM, and a better CPU for real gains. Putting an A10 6800k in a system with a 300-watt power supply is risky, especially if you plan to add a dedicated GPU. Where are you based, and what budget do you have available?
Have you replaced the GPU or upgraded the hard drive with an SSD?
The setup operates with an APU model, specifically the A8-5500, featuring the HD 7560D graphics card, which is an earlier version of the Kaveri R5 iGPU found on FM2+ APUs.
I’d also get an SSD, and the RAM amount matters too. The GT710 isn’t great either.
