It's cool to see that jump in speed from 1700 to 5700x for just $100. Even if I upgrade to an AM5 platform later this year, it still looks like a solid investment given how much more powerful it would be.
The 18% improvement is making me question whether the x3d is truly double the cost. The regular 5700x seems like a more worthwhile choice. Regarding DLSS, I don’t think I’ll be heavily relying on it. I’d prefer using the monitor’s 160Hz refresh rate instead. If I do use DLSS, I’ll stick with the CPU bottleneck and focus on making decisions about which settings to disable to boost FPS.
Focusing solely on individual AAA titles isn't comprehensive. It seems I'm repeatedly describing this when talking about 3D v-cache's strong performance in live services. You'd be choosing a platform that offers better long-term worth. Most AM5 CPUs come with integrated GPUs, which helps maintain their value over time. Plus, the LGA socket design makes these chips more durable and less prone to damage.
In general terms it stands at 18%, yet in numerous titles it can reach 30% and boosts even more at the 1% and 0.1% thresholds. For players who frequently engage with many games, VCache offers substantial advantages beyond the standard rate. Modern titles often demand high CPU power, particularly for maintaining stable frame rates, making this upgrade highly worthwhile. It truly represents a significant leap forward. The 5700X3D is the stronger choice if you can invest, as more games are shifting toward CPU-intensive workloads and the X3D handles demanding tasks effectively.
