Failed to break another corner during the removal process with a knife. Will it still function?
Mahbub Moonzy has the right point; as long as the circuit stays intact, everything should be okay. I’d still keep my fire extinguisher handy just in case.
It seems there are additional tiny chips in the lower right area and a small chip along the top edge of the larger one. There are also several scratches on the die, mixed with the debris. Overall, it looks like a solid confirmation of success. Are you noticing the same details, or does it appear to be just the main chip?
The CPU's circuit is located very close to the bottom of the die in just a few nanometers. As long as it remains undamaged, everything should be okay. The fastest way would be to place it in with paste and IHS, ensuring it doesn't boot from a bare die.
