I recently made several upgrades to my PC including the motherboard, CPU, RAM, case, and storage. Since then, my games have started crashing unexpectedly. I’ve swapped out my RAM for the old one but it doesn’t solve the issue. Trying different drives didn’t help either. I performed a full Windows reinstall and used a DDU, yet the problem persists. I’m considering the motherboard might be the culprit, though I’m unsure how to test that. If anyone has insights on what’s wrong, please share.

PC Specs: CPU - i5-12400f Motherboard - Asus Prime B660M-A RAM - TForce 32gb @ 3600mhz (4, 8gb sticks) GPU - ROG Strix 3060 ti Storage - WD Blue SN570 500gb (boot drive), WD Black SN750 1TB, plus another internal and external hard drives. PSU - 700 watt 80+ bronze.

Verify your system temps during gameplay; it might mean your CPU or GPU is overheating. Ensure all drivers are current, and your Windows is updated—include the BIOS. Obtain drivers directly from the manufacturer instead of relying solely on the Windows Update site.

It really seems like a thermal problem, particularly when several games keep freezing

Test the setup by running it with just one stick inside the machine to check for stability.

It’s wise to verify your drivers and BIOS versions, just like @SpookyCitrus recommended. If you’re not sure about Asus’s Armory Crate, you can download it from their official site for updates.

Well, if you're adding lots of stuff, you'll likely need to upgrade drivers, BIOS, and the chipset. What model did you have before?

I thought it was too bad, so I upgraded my CPU cooler. I've been monitoring temperatures and everything looks fine, but it still crashes. I'll verify that the BIOS is current. Thanks for the advice!
