Hey there, I hope this message finds you well. I’m trying to figure out a problem that keeps happening when I launch a tough game like Black Ops 3, Far Cry 4 or GTA V. I have the second screen running—either with Skype open or another app—while I launch the game. Once the game finishes loading, it stops abruptly and Windows shows a warning about the AMD display driver not working. I’ve checked updating the driver on the AMD website, but it doesn’t help. Interestingly, the driver sometimes crashes only when I turn off the second screen without any other program active. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this? Or should I just wait for Windows to improve compatibility with AMD drivers in the future? I’m using an Intel Core i7 4790, 16GB RAM, G-Skill Sniper, MSI Radeon R9 390X, and MSI Z97 Gaming graphics. Thanks for any advice!

I experienced the same issue too. To fix it, I used DDU to remove the GPU drivers and then reinstalled them from the manufacturer's site. I believe this will work for you since it's a frequent problem.

You're using version 15.7.2 and attempted to reinstall drivers via Device Manager, but the issue resurfaced shortly after launching Black Ops 3. You mentioned a question about DDU from RaptorCandy, which seems to be a bit unclear. It might help to clarify what you're trying to resolve or understand about the problem.

DDU is the Display Driver Uninstaller. To operate it, enter safe mode and remove the drivers. If you save the program and launch it, it will prompt for safe mode. Exit safe mode, reinstall the driver, and return to your regular settings. DDU link: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/disp...nload.html

Seems fine? No problems after the upgrade.

Thank you. I checked for uninstalling the full catalyst suite and found a link to download only the driver version directly.

Your power supply unit is PSU. You should replace it as soon as possible.

It seems to be functioning adequately right now. What’s the issue?
