Recently, I've noticed a persistent line across the top of my screen when opening my program. It appears in Chrome with a blue line and in Spotify with a white line. Check the top edge of the window—this pattern is consistent, except when the window isn't in focus. I'm using NVIDIA GeForce Driver 397.93. As of July 6th, 2018, Windows Update indicates I'm up to date, and Chrome is current at version 67.0.3396.99 (64-bit). Anyone familiar with this issue? Any suggestions for troubleshooting steps? It's been a persistent problem for about a month. Thanks.

Spotify came from the Store or its website? It seems like something unusual is happening with your programs.

Remove Spotify and set it up again from the App Store. Check if the issue persists when using iTunes from the Store app.

It appears Spotify is no longer available on Spotify, yet Chrome continues to face problems. I’m uncertain if the fix is lasting—since it came later than Chrome, this inconsistency might be normal.

Navigate to Task Manager, turn off all items under the "Startup" section, restart your system, and you'll land in a minimal configuration. To undo, launch msconfig once more, revert to "Normal startup," and turn on any entries you disabled.
