We have just unplugged the USB splitter, but it isn’t starting and the DRAM indicator remains yellow.

We added an extra cooling component and the DRAM started glowing yellow. Booting failed, we reset CMOS and switched channels from 1 to 2. We tried booting from just one drive but it still didn’t start. It seems the issue isn’t RAM speed but something else. The light stays on without flashing. We also needed a USB splitter and an ARGB splitter since Lian Li requires three controllers for the cables, fans, and cooler. PC specs: AMD 5800X CPU, MSI RTX 3090, 2x32GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM on ASUS TUF GAMING X570 motherboard, Gigabyte 850W PSU. Storage is a 1TB M.2 drive. Monitors: Odyssey G9 Neo with two 27-inch displays.

DDR4 reaches performance quickly, usually in just a few seconds. It’s likely not DRAM itself that’s faulty. The CPU might be improperly seated, or the memory controller isn’t communicating correctly, making it appear as a DRAM issue. The motherboard could also be defective, blocking detection of the DRAM. First check all connectors and ensure everything is firmly connected—especially the CPU. Also verify the GPU and DRAM. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, try isolating each component in another system to identify the faulty one. Good luck!
