DPC delays with NVLDDMKM and DXGKRNL.SYS
Attempt to uninstall the software and remove any hidden components. Proceed with running the ASMedia installer and then restart the system. The issue arises because many drivers rely on a shared library; installing new software over an existing one can sometimes leave behind faulty elements, as the installer detects the presence of the library and ignores it. This explains why some users turn to DDU to clear GPU drivers. It’s a challenging process to identify the exact cause of the interruptions. It might be beneficial to reapply GPU drivers using DDU and then choose the most recent studio version of the nvidia drivers instead of the default "game ready" ones.
I’ll attempt everything immediately. The unusual point is that I experienced DPC latency immediately after installing Windows Clean Installing, with only NVIDIA drivers active—no chipset or audio drivers included, just the NVIDIA ones. As a test, when I removed them, the latency problems disappeared.
it was around version 451. I also attempted 382 just for LULS. Both had the issue, so I tried uninstalling both on ASRock + Intel settings. The Intel option worked, but after uninstallation it auto-reinstalled even without drivers. I disabled and deleted ASRock, but DPC problems remained. I unplugged all USB 3 ports and connected my PC to a USB 2.0 port via the house/keyboard, but it had no impact.
studio drivers are available only for the 10th, 16th, and 20th generation models; they don't support the 980 Ti. I've tried everything—including sound—and can't turn off the Intel USB 3.0, so it will reinstall automatically. I'm re-installing NVIDIA with the latest version, but nothing seems to work yet. Would using a dedicated sound card help?
I just performed a CMOS reset on my system, which completely refreshed everything. For the first time, I played Warzone without DPC lag, and it ran smoothly at 100 FPS—feeling much more stable than before. It’s incredible! I suspect this was due to a BIOS adjustment. My RAM is at 3 GHz, and I’m not sure if legacy boot was turned off or if the system was using UEFI. I’ll tweak the BIOS later and just enjoy Warzone without any interruptions.
I discovered the cause was the RAM clock speed. Surprised, since my RAM is rated at 3000 MHz. Going above the default 2134 MHz caused the latency problem. I tried lowering it to 2.5 GHz, but it persisted. Once back to 2134 MHz, everything worked perfectly. I think I’ll explore what else I can do with these banks.
It turned out the problem was the RAM speed—it’s rated at 3.000 MHz, but anything above about 2134 MHz causes latency issues. Lowering it fixed the issue. I’ll need to test further, but this seems to be the main cause of my DPC problem. Really hoping it gets resolved now, though no warranty on my bank :c
It seems you're checking compatibility details. The only possible clue is a RAM model that operates at 3000MHz and supports up to two sticks. There are several Corsair Dominator models available on the QVL for that specific motherboard with that spec. Could you share your full RAM model number?
