Hey everyone, I just watched a video of Dendri playing Pro Dota 2. He moves his hand repeatedly and presses buttons over and over again. I’m curious about why he does that. I’ve been practicing my invoker combos with cheats and repeating them nonstop to improve, but I still don’t get how many button presses are involved. I want to understand what players do to achieve that level of repetition. Check out the video link below!

That seems to be the case, similar to how you approach everything in other games to maintain your concentration.

Several competitive players focus on quick button presses to maintain speed and consistency. This habit is common in StarCraft2, where players often micro rapidly when needed. It seems similar, though I’m not very familiar with DOTA.

Getting accustomed to it makes you focus better on the game and improves your reflexes. After playing Quake 3 for some time, I found myself moving the WASD keys almost automatically, even when they weren’t required.

I started typing really quickly, which caused some grammar issues, and I play Warframe where you constantly press lots of buttons and need quick reflexes.

Yes, you can keep pressing Q by repeating it until you reach the desired number of times, even if your skill is down or on cooldown.

It's a typical approach when you use Invoker.

It works well to hit a rhythm without disrupting your style or character abilities at the right moments. I’d suggest opting for safer keys, just like keeping your mouse steady so your hand stays ready and reactions stay sharp—this helps avoid mistakes and keeps things smooth.
