Early impressions from the closed beta indicate it isn’t particularly impressive. The single-player experience might still be worth considering, though I remain skeptical given my observations so far. It seems the creator left this aspect behind quite some time ago.
I was really intrigued until I noticed the poor mechanics they added. Equal starts and nonsensical upgrades really messed with my experience.
I've noticed quite a bit of negativity around doom recently, particularly regarding multiplayer. However, I'm keeping my optimism alive and believe it could be a solid arena shooter—something rare in this time. The single-player campaign seems promising based on what I've seen, and everyone has their own take.
I'm curious about how undoom compares to the new Doom. I thought it would feel more like an arena shooter. As I explore more, it seems like everything has been toned down and key elements removed. I'm looking for confirmation this weekend.
I haven't played many older Doom titles before, but this one just came out on Steam and has been a lot of fun. It's quick-paced and packed with intense action. I'm definitely going to spend some time on it this weekend!
Downloading in progress. Original Doom was my initial FPS experience and I realized I struggle with them, so I wonder if I'll progress much here but want to check how they've evolved. The screenshots appear good, but I'm uncertain about the overall feel. It reminds me of Hollywood remakes where visual effects seem to overshadow the story.
