I made the mistake of skipping the description before clicking download.
If developers share an idea, repeating "Doom" without context feels like a nod to the past. It doesn’t show a clear link to the original game. I haven’t followed the latest updates. If they’re adding a single-player option, that’s okay. This wasn’t the version I was expecting.
The game works well but doesn't suit my gaming setup. I'm seeing 30 to 60 frames per second on my overclocked R9 280 and 4690k. Are others facing similar problems? Any suggestions?
I've reached level 5 so far, and the game is enjoyable to some extent. I've played mainly with Team DM, but I'll experiment with other mods later. My main focus is on SP, which runs perfectly.
It's odd I installed it on my laptop (970m) and it's running smoothly at 50-60fps... disappointing that you can't adjust the settings in this version; the feedback seems quite critical. I'm really enjoying it and eager for the full release and SP. P.S. If anyone needs someone to play with, I'll be available now. Edited April 16, 2016 by JBIZZL3Y
