So I added a new hard drive, but things went wrong again. It's probably not that drive then? What about my main board? Let me know if you need help with this too.

That's right. Slowly bringing everything back together. Fun little surprise: Windows got upset after installing that graphics card driver and wouldn't let me use two screens at first. I had to move the GPU into a different slot for it to work properly. Just wild stuff happening. Now we'll wait and see if the BIOS does something again.

We are finally home. It took four days because we changed the Windows installation and moved the graphics card into a new spot, yet the computer still only shows up at the BIOS screen when you turn it on. I am completely stuck here. Maybe now is time for me to check the motherboard? If that doesn't work out, well... I don't know what else can happen. This problem is really tough and stubborn to find a solution.

You might check what MSI has to say if you talk to them about this. There could still be leftover problems with the latest BIOS that aren't fully fixed yet. This board had trouble working with Samsung 990 pro and WD SN850X, but later updates should have helped, though maybe not perfectly.
