Nope, those little power wires for my computer got plugged into both the main power source box and the motherboard.

The memory controller lives inside the main processor, so don't trust a blinking light right away to tell you if something broke. If you've tried swapping one stick at a time and your computer still won't turn on, then it's probably just that CPU that's failing. Both sticks likely aren't bad together; the chance of both being broken is low.

Why don't you start using your Am5 system soon? Some systems need about ten minutes to learn when you use them for memory training.

I haven't left things alone for very long - less than ten minutes. What does "memory training" mean exactly? How can I tell if something is really happening?

Basically, your computer checks if your hard drive is working. This happens right after you turn it on. Sometimes, maybe just a little bit too fast, things happen before they are all ready to go.

I've never heard of that before, and I haven't found anything like this in the manuals or help files yet. So I'll probably give it a shot anyway.
