Do you want to upgrade your RAM?
Initially please accept my apologies for opening another thread. I've been facing unusual stuttering and FPS fluctuations in every game. Initially, I saw a drop from 120 to around 102 FPS every few seconds, but it never fell below 100. After setting Vsync to 60, the issue changed—FPS dropped to about 55 every 15 seconds, which was unpredictable. I checked videos with similar specs and noticed they didn’t show any stuttering and actually ran faster than me. From what I observed, they all had more RAM (8 GB) compared to my 6 GB. Would upgrading my RAM help resolve this problem? My current setup includes an i3 2120 at 3.3 GHz, stock GeForce GTX950 with 2 GB, M. DRIORAMER 1333 MHz, and 6 GB DDR3 memory.
I somewhat concur because reducing FPS didn't help; it seems to be related to CPU temperatures or RAM usage. With 5-5.5GB used, RAM appears to be the bottleneck.
I tracked the CPU usage between 55-75% when capped at 60% GPU usage at 30-45%. RAM usage was around 5590 MB or 6 GB. This suggests RAM might be limiting performance. You have two 4GB and one 2GB stick. It would make sense to replace the 2GB stick with a 4GB one, as there are four slots in the motherboard. Using the dual-channel configuration should not cause a significant hit.
Upgrading to 8 or more gigabytes of RAM would be beneficial.
