Do I have to stop one specific app from getting in?
I let the kids use my computer for schoolwork and internet stuff. I'm pretty sure it's better to just keep things simple without making new logins or using complicated rules that stop everything from installing software. But as soon as we step away, Roblox shows up on their machines and they keep saying they want to go back. Is there any way to block only this specific game so they can't even get it installed? They have their own computers but always ask for mine because I don't know why đŸ˜’. That's just the reason I'm keeping it simple with one account instead of using group policies or multiple logins on my PC. Thanks a lot everyone, appreciate your answers!
Why can some tiny people get in with an admin key to change stuff? If you are a regular user, you'll need that special password to make changes. Please don't share it with anyone.
I can say no, but only until my face turns blue, because they keep coming back to beg me every time. It's like dealing with kids. If I could just fix this on the computer instead of getting annoyed and saying yes and then telling them it's installed again after that long argument, maybe I'd be less stressed. Yeah, it is a real headache—more like mountains than small hills sometimes.
As an older man, I know about little tricks kids use. But if you try to set up a block like that, it would be easy to stop working around it. There is even a special version of Roblox called roblox.exe vs another one called roblox1.exe And maybe you can make the "safer" part of Dads account work better in this way. That means it has to ask for a password so any app or game can't get in without permission, no matter who is trying it on. It's just how everything works and has worked for a long time since my dad told me. If you want something installed? Sure, but give the password first.
A possible fix is bad for me but it means the game won't run on Dad's PC
