Division E3 vs Release - Console Compatibility Myth / Observers React Strongly
In terms of gameplay, it's fair to say the experience is decent. It doesn't stand out much, but it isn't bad either.
Still looks good imo. Even better in some aspects. But multiplat games will always be this way.
The main distinction lies in the time of day, lighting conditions, and how the volumetric fog shifts throughout the scene. Elsewhere in the game it appears consistently; if they intended to obscure or distance itself from this moment, they wouldn't have positioned it so prominently at the beginning.
I shared them in the screenshots discussion, but my take on the division differs from the release version shown in that video. I'm referring not just to the time of day, but also to shadows and AO which appear weaker under max settings (the Ultra quality preset doesn't really push them to their full potential). Still, it's not as bad as the E3 vertical slice. But it's still not Watch_dogs bad. Still though, Ubisoft is Ubisoft.
I thought Watch Dogs was a more significant drop than W3, though that doesn’t mean the Witcher’s decline wasn’t huge. The main reason it’s forgotten is how big the game is combined with a compelling story. Its good points still managed to make people forget it. With Watch Dogs, it felt like a poor copy of GTA.
