Displaying a thick vertical line during startup.
Your computer experienced an issue after turning it on. It displayed the BIOS screen but didn’t boot into Windows, showing only a black glow. You suspect the graphics card might be faulty, possibly due to age. Others believe your specs include a Ryzen 5 1600X, XFX R9 390, and other components like a 3200 MHz Trident Z RGB graphics card from Corsair, along with a couple of hard drives.
mostly related to GPU problems, possibly driver issues, but more likely the card is starting to fail its VRAM or cores. You might salvage it by getting a BIOS with lower core/memory speeds. Try another cable from the card to the monitor if you haven’t already. You never know, and maybe just take the card out and reinstall it.
Consider a different cable and port. If the problem persists, check for GPU issues.
